About me
Jason Kuhla has a B.S. in chemistry from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and has over 25 years of experience in the development, production and application of aluminum and various effect pigments. His career started in operations at SILBERLINE in Tamaqua, PA where over a period of 24 years he held various positions in quality, pilot plant, product development and technical service, with his most recent position being Director of Technical Functions. Since the integration with ECKART in January 2024, Jason's role is now Technical Marketing Manager - Liquid Coatings as well as Head of Pilot Plant at the Tamaqua, PA facilities - where he oversees technical service, pilot plant and R&D activities for the liquid coatings market. In his 25 years, Jason has developed and provided technical support for effect pigments used in waterbased applications in automotive, industrial and decorative finishes, including the development of organic and inorganic passivation and inhibition technologies that allow aluminum effect pigments to be used safely in waterbased coatings.
