Silicone Chemistry and their Utility in Coatings Applications
One of the chemistries which can prove to be useful with increased demands for performance in coatings is the silicone chemistry. We will be looking at different forms that silicones can be used in coatings, different types of applications, and formulating guidelines.
Biography
Dr. Daniel Calimente is currently the Technical Manager for the Industrial Coatings at the Wacker Chemical Corporation. After receiving his Ph.D., he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Wayne State University. He has been involved in coatings applications for the past 20 years. Prior to Wacker, he was with BASF Corporation and PPG Industries.
