Bio:
Chun presently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Axalta Coatings Systems. He earned his BS in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China and PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Missouri. With over a decade of research and development expertise, Chun has successfully formulated various protective electrocoat and colorcoat products, catering to markets including automotive OEM, commercial vehicles, Agriculture and Construction Equipment (ACE). His proficiency lies in fine-tuning material properties by leveraging polymer structure-property relationships to deliver innovative solutions for customers. The products he helped developed have received the 2023 BIG Innovation Award and Edison Award.
