- 35 years of industrial experience serving the coatings, construction, adhesives, paper coating and fiber bonding industries
- Held various R&D positions as Sr. Scientist, Sr. Technical Manager and Technology Director in Canada, Germany, China and USA within two BASF Business Divisions: Dispersions & Resins and Polyurethanes
- In-depth understanding of emulsion polymers for coatings applications; extensive experience in the design of multi-phase emulsion polymers (core-shell, composite or hybrid) for various industrial applications
- Led development of polymers based on renewable raw materials for sustainability and lower carbon footprint
- Won 3 awards: Elias Singer Best Paper Award (New Orleans, 2000), John A. Gordon Best Paper Award (Chicago, ICE 2004) and Shelby Thames Best Paper Award (New Orleans, 2006);
- 30+ patents & 32 publications; taught at FSCT & Cal Poly Coatings courses
